Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly common for marriages to end in divorce. With each passing year, it seems that the life expectancy of a marriage is getting shorter and shorter. As a result, it is also becoming increasingly common for those who have gone through a divorce to marry again. In the celebrity world especially, it is not a rare occurrence for people to marry several times over the course of a lifetime before finding the one – or giving up all together. However, these celebrity couples have taken the idea of marrying again and put it into practice quite literally. Here are 10 celebrity couples who have married each other more than once.

10. Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon
In October 2007, actress Pamela Anderson and famous poker player Rick Salomon tied the knot for the first time. Unfortunately, the couple split after just 10 weeks of marriage; filing for divorce in December of that year. However, the couple’s love story would not end there. In January 2004, the couple announced that they had married each other again; however, Anderson filed for divorce again in February 2015.

9. Nene and Gregg Leakes
Nene and Gregg Leakes rose to fame with the success of the Bravo reality series, Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, two years after the show’s debut, the couple filed for divorce. However, the couple managed to rekindle old flames and in 2013, two years after their divorce was finalized, the couple remarried at the Intercontinental Hotel in Atlanta, GA.

8. Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson
At just 14 years old, Melanie Griffith began dating Don Johnson, who was starring alongside her mother, Tippi Hedren, in the 1973 film The Harrad Experiment. Griffith and Johnson married in January of 1976 when Griffith was just 18 years-old. After six months of marriage, the couple decided to call it quits, and Griffith married actor Steve Bauer in 1982. However, time eventually revealed that things were not over for Griffith and Johnson. The couple married each other again in June 1989, and welcomed a daughter, Dakota Johnson, in October of that year. Sadly, the couple’s second marriage also ended in divorce; this time after seven years.

7. Larry King and Alene Akins
Radio and TV personality Larry King is certainly no stranger to marriage. Over the last more than six decades, King has been married a total of eight times to seven different women. In 1961, King married former Playboy Bunny, Alene Akins; the following year, King adopted her son. However, by 1963 the couple was divorced. After his split from Akins, King went on to marry one other woman before marrying Akins again in 1967. King and Akins divorced for a second time in 1972.

6. Marie Osmond and Stephen Craig
Marie Osmand and Stephen Craig tied the knot for the first time back in 1982. After giving birth to their first and only child together in 1983, the couple divorced in 1985. Osmond then married Brian Blosil in 1986. Osmond’s marriage to Blosil produced two more children before the couple filed for divorce in 2007. In 2011, four years after her divorce from Blosil, Osmond remarried Craig, wearing the same dress she wore in 1982 at the couple’s first wedding.

5. Dionne Warwick and William Elliot
In 1966, award-winning musician Dionne Warwick married actor/drummer, William Elliot for the first time. Ironically the couple divorced and remarried (each other) the following year. The couple’s marriage ultimately produced two songs, before Warwick and Elliot split for good in December of 1975.

4. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Gladys Portugues
Action movie star, Jean-Claude Van Damme, married former bodybuilder, Gladys Portugues, in 1987. However, the couple’s marriage ended after Van Damme began an affair with actress Darcy LaPier. Van Damme and LaPier married in 1994 and had a son, Nicholas, the following year. After just three years of marriage Van Damme and LaPier divorced, and in 1999 Van Damme and Gladys Portugues were remarried.

3. Barbara Walters and Merv Adelson
The 80s was a very busy decade for TV personality Barbara Walters. In 1981, Walters married the CEO of Lorimar Television, Merv Adelson. The couple divorced in 1984 before remarrying in 1986. In 2013, Walters reflected on her marriage with Adelson, stating: “‘He was a kind, funny, thoughtful man. Would things have worked out differently for Merv if we had stayed together? I don’t know. Probably not I have no regrets.”

2. Eminem and Kim Scott
Rapper Eminem made his ex-wife, Kim Scott, famous through a string of angry lyrics which revealed his hatred towards the woman he married twice. In 1999, the couple married after years of being in an on-again-off-again relationship. At the time of the couple’s marriage, they already had a daughter. When Eminen and Kim divorced in 2001, the rapper said that he would prefer never to be married again. However, in 2006, Em and Kim married again although the marriage resulted in divorce just a few months later.

1. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
The late Elizabeth Taylor is well-known for her marriage to seven different men. However, only one of those men had the pleasure of being married to Taylor twice. In March 1964, Taylor married famed actor Richard Burton. The marriage was condemned by the Vatican which disapproved of the extramarital affair the couple had been engaged in prior to their marriage. The couple was married for 10 years before divorcing in 1974. However, the couple was briefly remarried again from 1975 to 1976.
