Reported first by Just Jared, the outlet claims that the Star Trek alum, William Shatner, and his wife, Elizabeth, have officially filed for divorce following eighteen years of marriage.
TMZ was the first to report that Shatner and his 61-year-old ex hammered out a prenuptial agreement, so the outlet suggested the divorce proceedings would be no problem at all. Neither party will get spousal support, claims the outlet, which was stated and confirmed in the agreement.
The outlet also claims the split between the ex-couple has to be finalized by a judge. Fans of William know he and Elizabeth first got married in 2001, but they have no children together. In addition to having a long successful career as an actor, William has produced several albums as well.
Reported by Bridget Hill in August of 2018, Mr. Shatner revealed he was dropping a new Christmas album called, Shatner Clause: The Christmas Album. The album saw the likes of many prolific performers, including Judy and Mel Collins, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, as well as the country artist, Brad Paisley.

In fact, during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Henry Rollins, the former Black Flag frontman who went on to win a Grammy Award for his work on Get In The Van, said to the host that he and William were actually good friends.
Even though it’s probably a surprising relationship, William and Henry live close to each other. Previously, Shatner dropped a spoken word album in 1968 called, The Transformed Man, in addition, to Ponder The Mystery, Seeking Major Tom, and Has Been.
However, the role which has made William Shatner a legend forever was his work in the aforementioned Star Trek, where he played James T. Kirk. Since then, Shatner has become somewhat of a cultural icon.

Shatner was known for having a fantastic work-ethic in the past, however, some argued it would’ve been better to turn down more work because it purportedly hurt his career. Mr. Shatner reportedly would never say “no” to an offer.
